Trinity Tidings – June 2022
“Thou shall love thy
neighbor as thyself.”
Lord Jesus Christ
From Pastor Ann
My Dear Family in Christ:
As we wind up the Great Fifty Days of Easter (Pentecost, the end of the Easter Season, is June 5), Trinity is really hopping, and the time is flying. Our tutoring program is growing and growing; our garage sale was a huge success. I offer so many thanksgivings for all the people who make these things such a success! You know I always say that you can tell when the Holy Spirit is in something, because it produces more than we can ask or imagine.
Now we move into the quieter season in the church, what priests often call “the long, green season.” I know it’s not quieter for everyone, with kids home from school and vacation plans brewing, as well as all the picnics, festivals, and other summer events that we love to enjoy in Western New York. But church calms down a little, and we enjoy a little quiet time here at church.
I hope you’ll be able to take a little time just to savor our beautiful weather, and all the wonders that nature has to offer us here. We are so lucky to be close to the water, to rolling hills, and so many parks and hiking trails. We can reflect on the world that God created for us, and how we may be called to serve and protect and preserve that world. I know that as I travel, I will do my best to remember to whom I owe the good fortune and abundance that the summer life, especially, brings to me.
Go in peace, my beloveds. Enjoy this special time in Western New York. And give thanks to the Lord always. I’m sure that those who are suffering and in pain or fear will remain close in our hearts and prayers, as well.
