Trinity Tidings – November 2025
The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace.
James 3:17-18
November is a time we’re surrounded by abundance: Fall programs at church, school and in the community are well underway, filling our time. Our lawns are covered with abundant leaves; our homes and our altar are adorned with pumpkins and mums. November is also a time of harvest; a time we remember God’s goodness to us. We begin by celebrating the feast of All Saints, which this year we will transfer to Sunday Nov. 2nd. We remember the great cloud of witnesses, all those many saints who have inspired us to follow Jesus more closely. And we end our month giving thanks for all God’s good gifts, with our Thanksgiving Eve service on Nov. 26 at 7 pm.
In between these bookends are several important events in our common life. Saturday Nov. 8th is our Snowflake Bazaar, our one big fundraiser of the year. For stewardship season this year we’re reflecting on how we share the good news with our lives, how our souls ring out God’s goodness. I see you telling God’s goodness through music and service, through tending the community garden and the church altar, through reaching out to those who are ill and to family caregivers.
For many years Trinity has proclaimed God’s goodness by feeding the hungry through Trinity Pantry. This mission is more urgent than ever with the cuts to SNAP. I will be reaching out to Pantry leadership to see how we can support their mission in this time of increased need.
In God’s abundance, there is enough for all. When we work together, God can work through us to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine. God works in and through us to bring about a harvest of righteousness. I urge you to plan on staying for our stewardship coffee hour and Fall clean up on Nov. 2nd. The vestry wants to share with you what we need for our next steps in grow our ministries and living into our mission in the year ahead.
Peace and all good, Karen+

Sunday School- Welcome Back
Our Sunday School is an all-ages group that meets at 9:30 Sunday mornings in the parish hall under the direction of Julia Tomaka. All children are welcome to join.
A wonderful time was had by all who attended our trip to Akron Acres. We enjoyed our service, pot luck lunch, visiting the animals and the hayride to pick our pumpkins!
The next YUM meeting will be at The Church of Advent in Kenmore at 4pm Nov. 23rd.
Vestry Summary
Vestry met October 12th. They reviewed the Capital Income and Expenses. The parish received a $5000 grant from the diocese, thank you Kevin Tomaka and Pastor Karen for writing and submitting the grant application. Our beautiful new roof has been completed just in time for winter. We have a new heating contractor; John W Danforth Co. Vestry also approved the purchase and planting of a dwarf spruce in the front bed. Work continues on the logo, stewardship and software.
Altar Guild
Trinity will continue to enjoy our fall decorations through Thanksgiving. There will be a brief Altar guild meeting November 23rd following the 9:30 am service. This is a rewarding ministry and new members are always welcome. November altar schedule includes Cathi and Maryrose.
Women of Trinity
Our SNOWFLAKE BAZAAR will be held November 8, 10-3. We will have our famous clam chowder lunch, soup to go quarts, baked goods, crafts, basket raffle and of course Granny’s Attic! Our Basket Raffle will feature 100 baskets and gift cards. Donors have been very generous! We have many gift cards and beautiful baskets. We even have an autographed Buffalo Bills cleat and Buffalo Sabers hockey puck. Baked goods are needed for the bake sale, and can be dropped off 11/7 or 11/8. This is a major fundraiser for the church and we’re hoping for a huge success! Please help spread the word and come support this event!
Please consider donating a couple of hours. There is a way for everyone to help make this bazaar our best one ever. Many hands make light work.
WOT and friends Christmas luncheon is at noon, Wednesday, December 3 at Hillview Restaurant on Transit, after lunch we will return to parish hall for dessert, games, and a $10 gift card exchange. Please plan to join the holiday fun!

Food Pantry always appreciates any donation you can share. There is a basket upstairs in the church and a drop off bin located outside the kitchen door.
Dash’s Receipts
Please continue to save your Dash market receipts and ask your friends for theirs. There is box located downstairs in the parish hall or put them on table in the front of the church. This is a great program; we receive cash for your receipts! Thank you
