Trinity Tidings – September 2025

Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Heb. 13:1

For many of us our summer has been full of hospitality. Perhaps we’ve offered hospitality to family and friends visiting us. Perhaps we’ve been welcomed on our own travels. Here at Trinity we have welcomed guests during Gardenwalk and Porchfest. We welcomed the Tichy family and friends band who played on our front lawn. Our new program year offers us more opportunities for mutual love and hospitality.

This month we launch Grub Theology, our Fall faith formation program. We’ll extend our Eucharistic table to the tables of some local restaurants as we talk about your questions. Have a question you want to be sure we cover? Not sure if this is for you? Come to the Pastor’s forum on Aug. 31 to get your question on the list and learn more. Invite a friend to come with you to a Grub Theology meal, Tuesdays at 6 pm beginning Sept. 9.

On September 19th at 7 pm, Trinity will be hosting our first community concert with Marty Peters. Tickets can be purchased at local merchants and will include a catered intermission. We’re excited to welcome the Lancaster community into our sacred space!

This summer has also included some projects, as we work to make our spaces welcoming to all. You’ll see a new rack of hooks for our name tags in the narthex, refreshed bulletin boards in the parish hall. Updated displays are coming soon to the narthex. Repairs to our window frames have been completed and the roof work is scheduled to be done shortly.

I’m so grateful for your generous support which has enabled this work to be done. I look forward to seeing you at the August pastor’s forum or our September coffee hour and catching up on your summer.

Peace and all good,

Karen+

Gardeners Wanted!!

Fall may be coming but we can still use some help with weeds and leaves. If you have some free time and enjoy the outdoors, please feel free to stop in and pull a few weeds or rake a few leaves. All help is greatly appreciated.

 Outreach Opportunities

$702.87 was deposited in our account from St. Pauly for July and August, great job! Please pass the word, about the St. Pauly’s Shed in the parking lot. It’s a win- win situation, people in need get clothing, blankets etc.  and church gets paid by the pound for donations. Thanks

Food Pantry always appreciates any donation you can share. There is a basket upstairs in the church and a drop off bin located outside the kitchen door. Please pass the word. Many thanks to John Whiteford for making the new top on the donation bin outside.

Dash’s Receipts

Please continue to save your Dash market receipts and ask your friends for theirs. There is box located downstairs in the parish hall or put them on table in the front of the church. This is a great program; we receive cash for your receipts! Thank you!

Community Connections

Trinity was happy to be included in Lancaster’s Porchfest this year. We were proud to host the Tichy family and friends’ band on our front lawn The band included our very own Jeff Geblein. It was a well-attended event and a good time was had by all.

Trinity will be hosting our first community concert Sept 19 at 7pm featuring Marty Peters.
