Trinity Tidings – October 2023
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
Psalm 119:105
Fellow Parishioners:
Trinity continues our search for a permanent Priest-In -Charge. Vestry and the Diocese continues to search for the best option available to us. While we are faithfully waiting, we continue to enjoy a variety of talented guest preachers. Fortunately, we have been able to secure supply clergy for each Sunday. We also have been able to continue the Healing Eucharist held the last Tuesday of each month in the parish hall. Rev. Karen Gough graciously returned to Trinity for two funerals.
The Episcopal Convention will be held October 20 and 21 in Erie, Pa. If anyone is interested in serving as a delegate for Trinity, please let any vestry person know. We are a parish in good standing, so even without permanent clergy we are permitted to vote.
Trinity is happy to provide a meeting space to seven Girl Scouts troops this year an increase from last year. Between worship, the food pantry and the Girl Scouts our building is being used almost every day.
Our Snowflake Bazaar is coming up November 11. It is our biggest fundraising event and everyone can help. We will be collecting items for Granny’s attic, asking for baked goods, basket raffle donations, soup ingredients, help making soup and working the day of the bazaar. This event is always successful because this parish is always so generous with their support. Thank you.

Altar Guild
Fall is here and our altar is looking beautiful with the mums, pumpkins, Indian corn and gourds. Please feel free to add to it, we will leave it up until Thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy natures beauty our gentle reminder of all we have to be thankful for. Remember you can request a memorial or thanksgiving by filling out the form found in back of church or downstairs or on the web. The cost for the Sanctuary candle remains $10 but the cost of a floral arrangement has increased to $35 for a small arrangement or $60 for a large. Completed order forms may be placed in collection plate, through slot in office door, or mailed in. Requests must be received the Sunday before your requested date. October altar schedule includes Bev and Pat.
